What we exist to do

Pampanga High Performance is a coaching squad. Not a class. Not a bootcamp. Not after-school care in shorts.

It exists for athletes who already want to run, who already train, and who want to be coached properly — programmed, periodised, and held accountable to a standard. Distance is the discipline; everything else serves it.

For school-age athletes, the target is Palarong Pambansa — the national meet that decides the country's best young athletes. For older athletes serious about distance — masters competitors, returning runners, working professionals chasing PBs — the squad is equally open. The standard is the same.

There is one floor: eleven years, and the ability to hold a structured session.

The squad is free. There are no fees, no membership tiers, no contracts. We ask one thing: that you're serious about training.

A small set of rules decides everything else.

Performance,
not fitness

This is a development squad. The point is to get faster, hold harder workouts, race better, recover smarter — not to "stay active." If general fitness is what you want, there are good gyms in Clark. This is not that.

Distance is the discipline

800 metres to the marathon. Aerobic development, threshold work, structured intervals, long runs. We don't dabble across sports. Specialisation is what makes the difference at every level past beginner.

Properly coached, properly programmed

Squad structure, individual loading. Athletes train together but the programme respects age, training age, and ability. Quality over volume — and volume that scales only when the foundation justifies it.

This is for you if…

  • You are eleven years or older. No upper age limit.
  • You already run, or have run competitively at school, club, military or amateur level.
  • You can complete a structured interval session without supervision-by-the-rep.
  • You can commit to the scheduled sessions, or have a good reason when you can't.
  • You want to be coached — actually coached — not just supervised through a workout.
  • You're prepared to compete. Palarong Pambansa for school-age athletes; local, provincial or masters meets for older athletes.

This isn't for you if…

  • ×You're under eleven, or looking for childcare with cones.
  • ×You can't or won't follow a written programme.
  • ×You want to dabble — turn up when you feel like it, skip when you don't.
  • ×You want a CrossFit-style mixed-modality workout. We run.
